A self-taught artist, Ti Tolpo Bader was exposed to the artist's life and freedom of expression while growing up in the family art studios of parents, Carl and Lily Tolpo, professional artists of Chicago, Illinois.
Often the model for many of her parents studio projects, a mirror was strategically placed so that Ti could observe and ask questions.
This was a great learning and teaching opportunity. Her parents also gave her advice and critiques on works she created.
Additional knowledge and inspiration was provided through her studies of the exhibitions at the Art institute of Chicago, Philadelphia Art Museum, Frick Museum in NYC, and the Metropolitan Art Museum in NYC.
Ti (pronounced Tee) has been creating art since 1986. She has art commissions throughout the United States and parts of Europe. The commissioned pieces are comprised of portraits from life or photos... posthumous, genealogical, family and pet portraits... homesteads... landscapes... wildlife... historical vignettes... portrait collages and story portraits.
